MARCH TO MAY NARRATIVE 2014

TECHNICAL PROBLEM

A.      INTERNET CONNECTION
I have been using a DSL BROADBAND for almost three months now. There were two common problems I always encounter. First would NO PRIOR NOTICE when there will be a day of disconnection due to fixing or upgrading the facilities and POOR RECEIVE DATA that during skype call, the other party cannot hear or vice versa. This has somehow an UNAVOIDABLE ISSUE and beyond my control resulting to cancellation of classes.

B.      POWER SHUT DOWN
A sudden power shut down is also another thing especially this summer season. Philippines, Metro Manila in particular has been said to have power shortage.

SOLUTION

·         Lessons have to be cancelled and be extended to compensate the lost of my students
·         A speed test is conducted with my internet provider

·         Make-up class is given if necessary and student wishes to.

WELCOME TO MY ONLINE TEACHING BLOG

A pleasant day to all aspiring english speakers, especially to all EFL learners!

It has been a big attempt to put up this blog to advertise myself as an online english teacher. This blog is result of a very good encouragement that I have received from my online students in Japan. With all their words of appreciation intertwined ups and downs of the online english school company which I used to work, here I am continuing such teaching career. I used to be a high school english teacher with focus on language development and literature. After such teaching career in real classroom, I've tried online teaching and I can say that I've had so much fun because it proves that learning takes place when two or more people share and talk about their ideas.
